����Jul.15th, the first plenary conference of the 5th Arbitrator Discipline Committee of the BAC was held. During the session, Regulation on the Work of Arbitrator Discipline Committee (draft) was passed and review was carried out on the qualifications of new arbitrator candidates. Meanwhile, the participants also discussed the Arbitrator Disclosure System and decided to inspect the suspected anti-disciplinary arbitrators.
����In the afternoon of Jul.16th, the 5th Arbitrator Salon of 2009(53rd session) of the Beijing Arbitration Committee (BAC) was held in the international conference hall of BAC. The theme was ��Arbitration Practice on International Project Contracts��. The main speaker was Mr. Dazhang Huang, Honorary Secretary-General of the Association of the British Chartered Institute of Arbitrators East Asia Branch; Honorary Legal Consultant of the American Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Branch; consultant of Lovells Law firm. Ms Zhang Lixia, the Director of Arbitration Committee of Beijing Lawyers' Association, Arbitrator of BAC, presided over the salon.
����Jul.18th, the General Secretary of the BAC, Madam Hongsong Wang was invited to attend the arbitrator training session of Zhengzhou Arbitration Commission, who gave a lecture titled the Profession Ethics and Criterion of Arbitrators.
����Jul.30th, in the seminar of Operation of Mediation Mechanism and Mediators Training was host by the Chinese Arbitration Association, who had a video conference with the BAC. The senior arbitrators of BAC and mediators took part in the conference via video-conferencing system. Mr, Song Lianbin, professor of WuHan University and the arbitrator of BAC delivered a speech named From the Combine of Arbitration and Mediation to Separateness of Mediation: the Perspective of BAC.
����A joint reception co-hosted by the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Beijing Branch and the Beijing Lawyers Association (BLA) Arbitration Committee was held at Beijing on the night of July 30. In addition, the NYSBA Shanghai Branch took part in this event from Shanghai via video-conferencing system.
